Tim is the younger brother in his family. His mom, Frances Scott, is a nurse who worked very hard to care for the family. Tim’s dad, Ben Scott Sr., was a soldier, and he left when Tim was 7 years old. Tim and his older brother shared a room and a bed with their mom at their grandparents’ small house on a dirt road.
